We did some day drinking at Bugaloo’s Conch Crawl and had a good time! It’s located right on the beach and the tables are under the shade of the trees. The inside bar is pretty cool too with open air windows offering a great breeze. They had a local dj playing island beats when we were there and we really enjoyed just kicking back and relaxing.
Cocktails are not really their strong suit so we switched to beers and also enjoyed a large portion of coconut cracked conch. The conch was really tender and we enjoyed it very much. We spotted a local chef from one of the hotel restaurants dining on the local whole fried fish and it looked really good!
Bugaloo’s is definitely a bit of the beaten path from where we were staying and was a notable $35 taxi ride from the main Regent Village area, but we are glad we went- no regrets. Note- You do have to drive through some poverty stricken areas to get there. And all of the beach bars suffer from malnourished dogs hanging around and Bugaloo’s is no different. But there isn’t much you can do about any of that, but better to know about it than have it catch you off guard.
