4medium carrotssliced super thin (use a mandolin if you have one)
6-8cupschopped cabbage
1/2cupchicken broth
1teaspoonsalt
1teaspoonsugar
a few grinds of black pepper to taste.
Instructions
Saute onion in butter on med heat until onions are tender. Add the carrots and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Stir in the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 5-7 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Check for seasoning.
