Instant Vortex Air Fryer – 6 Qt

The perfect gift for anyone from a couch potato to a gourmet cook

What is an air fryer and why it’s so popular

An air fryer is a kitchen appliance that cooks food by circulating hot air around it. The hot air creates a crispy outer layer similar to deep frying but with significantly less or no oil. They can be used to cook a variety of foods such as fries, chicken wings, vegetables, and even desserts easily and quickly.

Why the Instant™ Vortex™ is better

I was late to the air fryer game because I am always reluctant to jump on the latest kitchen appliance crave. However, eventually I caved and I am so glad I did because it is a game changer and every kitchen should have one, no matter how small or large. So when it came time for me to invest in an air fryer, I did a lot of research. After watching countless Youtube videos, reading consumer reports, Amazon reviews and interviewing friends and family, the choice was clear.

The Instant™ Vortex™ has a square shape which is significantly more useful than a round or oval basket. the square shape allows you to arrange multiple chicken breasts or thighs or evenly cut pieces of salmon easily. The Instant Vortex also has easy to use controls and works wonderfully.

This 6 QT (Sometimes referred to a 5.7 QT) is supposed to be suitable for 4-6 people and it does indeed fit 4 chicken breasts or 4 salmon portions. However, I think it is also the perfect size for even one person. Anything smaller wouldn’t allow as much flexibility and therefore wouldn’t be used as much. The space saving size of the smaller version is not enough to justify going smaller. For example, if you want to heat up a single slice of pizza, the smaller units just aren’t big enough. Or perhaps you want some chicken fingers and fries – this unit fits both easily and comfortably. I see no reason to go smaller unless you really must!

Single unit vs double unit?

I know many people are fond of the side by side units thinking it gives you more flexibility, but I have tested them and I do not recommend them over a single unit. The baskets on the double units are all ultra small, especially considering the amount of counterspace they take up. I personally think a well designed unit such as this one is a much better investment and produces better results. In other words… its best to keep it simple!

Highlights of the Instant™ Vortex™

  • The shape maximizes space
  • Crisps to perfection with the touch of a button
  • Four functions: air fry, broil, roast, and reheat
  • Requires little to no preheating, with a temperature range of 120° to 400° F

What can you cook in an Air Fryer?

You can cook just about anything in an air fryer and I am not exaggerating. From frozen to fresh, everything can be cooked in it. My favorite uses for the air fryer are roasting vegetables especially potatoes, simple yet delicious chicken thighs, frozen foods of all kinds crisp up in a breeze and reheating pizza!

  • Roasted Vegetables of all kinds
  • Frozen Foods
  • Salmon, chicken and even beef
  • Reheating leftovers
  • Endless uses

Where to buy this Air Fryer

I have done the research and surprisingly Bloomingdales consistently beats out the competition including Amazon. (As of this writing, Costco does not carry this product opting to sell the Ninja line of air fryers instead, which I do not personally recommend.)

Perfect for: Bridal shower gift, Housewarming gift, Christmas gift, Father’s day gift, Birthday gift
