Le Creuset is the industry standard for enameled cast-iron Dutch oven’s and other cookware. While expensive, when you decide to make the investment in Le Creuset, you can rest assured that it is a piece of cookware that will last a lifetime. In fact, it even has an impressive lifetime warranty.

You can purchase le Creuset directly from their website, or at stores such as Crate & Barrel or Williams and Sonoma. If you are a bargain hunter like myself, stores such as HomeGoods often have pieces at steep discounts. Theses discounted pieces may have very small imperfections but they do not affect the overall performance of the stoneware.

There are also other less known and less expensive enameled cast iron options if Le Creuset is not for you. Whatever the brand, size or color, a heavy duty Dutch oven is a workhorse in the kitchen.
